Dark Chocolate linked to heart health
Doctors have known for quite some time that chocolate has a noticeable impact on heart health, a study released this week however shows that there is actually a lot more to it than that. One of the main chemicals found in chocolate, flavinol, has been shown to have an effect on heart health and apparently the darker the chocolate the more benefit it will have. This is great news for the millions of people that love chocolate around the world as it might just make a difference in the long run.
The results were somewhat surprising to many doctors. Of course dark chocolate had a higher success rate than regular chocolate, but they were surprised to see that it really was a significant change. The darker the chocolate consumed the healthier the study participant’s blood tests came back.
This means that, when consumed in moderation, chocolate really does help the heart and body. Chocolate consumption can not only reduce blood pressure but can also reduce cholesterol.
