Legendary Writer Christopher Hitchens Died At 62

Christopher Hitchens (1949-2011) legendary writer died at 62. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2010. He was a columnist for Vanity Fair and the author of a collection of essays.
Among his most famous work is a book God Is Not Great.

Wikipedia writes that "Hitchens contends that organised religion is "violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism, tribalism, and bigotry, invested in ignorance and hostile to free inquiry, contemptuous of women and coercive toward children" and sectarian, and that accordingly it "ought to have a great deal on its conscience."
Hitchens supports his position with a mixture of personal stories, documented historical anecdotes and critical analysis of religious texts. His commentary focuses mainly on the Abrahamic religions, although it also touches on other religions, such as Hinduism and Buddhism."

"There will never be another like Christopher Hitchens. A man of ferocious intellect, who was as vibrant on the page as he was at the bar." Vanity fair. We all mourns the loss of great writer.
