Sialkot Stallions and Rawalpindi Rams qualify for Faysal Bank NAtional Twenty-20 Cup 2011

Karachi: Sialkot Stallions beat Lahore Eagles by 6 wickets and 7 balls remaining here at National Stadium on saturday.

Sialkot skipper Shoaib Malik was the Man of the Match award winner, who got 2 wickets and scored a unbeaten 88 runs from 49 balls chasing a target os 168 runs. he made a winning partnership of 127 runs with shahid yousuf (49).

Earlier, Lahore Eagles openers Imran Farhat (73) and Taufiq Umar (33) smashed a 86 run partnership bot no other batsman could lift the score well enough as they managed 167 runs.

For Sialkot Stallions Rana Naveed and Shoaib Malik both secured two wickets each.

Defending champions Rawalpindi Rams crushed Peshawar Panthers by 77 runs in second semi-final just after the first one at National Stadium.

Rawalpindi Rams were all out for 168 runs in 19.5 overs. Umar Amin scored 30 runs while Sohail Tanvir (26), Naved Malik (25) and Babar Naeem (21) being other main scorers. From Peshawar Panthers Zohaib Khan got 3 wickets for 36 runs.

With not a single batsman scoring big Rawalpindi Rams were able to give a good target and the struggling opponents were bowles out for just 91 runs in 16 overs. Only 3 batsmen scored in double figures, Rafatullah Mohmand (33) being the highest scorer.

The final between five times champions Sialkot Stallions and defending champions Rawalpindi Rams will be played at 7 pm on sunday.
