' THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 ' : TEASERS TREAD REVIEW

ALMOST 20 years after taking audiences behind the velvet ropes of ' Runaway Magazine ', Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway are set to reprise their iconic roles in ' The Devil Wears Prada 2 ', and the first teaser has already sent fans into a nostalgic frenzy.

Released by 20th Century Studios this week, the brief 52-second clip pays homage to the elevator scene that became emblematic of the original film, set to Madonna's ' Vogue'.

Streep's Miranda Priestly greets Hathaway's  Andy Sachs with a dry, '' Took you long enough,'' prompting smirks and sunglasses-wearing cool from the former assistant.

The teaser offers little about the plot but promises a sharp, style-infused continuation of the original story.

' This time, the focus shifts to Miranda's perspective as she navigates a world in which print journalism is in decline and the fashion industry is contending with a rapidly digitising media lamd scape.

Emily Blunt returns as Emily Charlton, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group, creating new tension with Priestly as she seeks desperately needed advertising revenue.

Stanley Tucci also reprises his role as Nigel, rounding out the familiar faces of ' Runway '.

Joining the original ensemble are fresh faces posed to shake up the fashion world on screen, including Kenneth Branagh as Miranda's husband, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammali, Celeb Hearon, Helen J Shen, Pauline Chalamet, BJ Novak, and Conrad Ricamora.
