Tadej Pogacar secured his fourth overall victory in the Tour de France after an epic final stage, during which he aimed to claim a prestigious win. However, the 26-year-old Slovenian was beaten by a stronger competitor. Wout van Aert won the stage on the Champs-Élysées after outperforming Pogacar on the third and final climb of Montmartre Hill. This victory marks his tenth Tour de France stage win and his first since 2022.
It was a historic day in the Women’s Tour de France with Mavi Garcia’s victory. At 41 years old, the Spaniard became the oldest rider ever to win a stage in the Tour. History was also made by Mauritian rider Kimberley Le Court, who became the first African woman to wear the yellow jersey.
