Analysis: ’Economically Inactive’ - Reasons And Consequences


One in five working-age people in the UK aren’t in the workforce, a figure which has risen since the Covid pandemic.

An increasing number of people are now ‘economically inactive’ - that means they are out of work but not seeking new employment.
