PAKISTAN : The Government has decided to launch '' Quantum Computing '' course for students / youth.

HARIPUR : Caretaker Chief Minister Justice [R] Syed Arshad Hussain on Saturday said the provincial government was going to launch Quantum Computing technology courses to enable the students/youth to compete globally in the field of information technology.

He was speaking to the faculty and students of the University of Haripur.

Terming it the first-ever project of the country, he said he was launching the project as his passion and the admissions would start from the current week.

He said he had asked the vice-chancellors of the 34 universities of the province to allocate a major share of academic expertise to market based demands of quantum technology and offer IT based short-courses so that students could get better job offers before the completion of the courses.

The chief minister declared Haripur and Abbottabad as a quantum valley.
