PRIYANKA'S -'SONA'- PREMIUM

Priyanka Chopra has revealed that she is opening her own Indian restaurant in New York, named  SONA. Taking to her Instagram over the weekend, Priyanka shared photos from an intimate prayer ceremony that took place in 2019, to make the announcement.

''I'm thrilled to present to you SONA, a new restaurant in NYC that I poured my love for Indian food into,'' she captioned her post.

The Quantico actor added, ''SONA is the very embodiment of tileless India and the flavours I grew up with. The kitchen is helmed by the incredible Chef Hari Nayak, a masterful talent, who has created the most delicious and innovative menu, taking you on a food journey through my amazing country.''

She mentioned that her restaurant will open its doors in March this year, and she cannot wait to welcome her overseas countrymen. 

''This endeavour would not have been possible without the leadership of my friends Maneesh Goyal and David Rabin. Thank you to our designer Melissa Bowers and the rest of the team for realising this vision so clearly,'' continued Priyanka.

The White Tiger star added that some of the photos shared by here were from September 2019, when she and her husband Nick Jonas ''performed a small intimate Puja [prayer ceremony[ to bless the space that would soon become SONA New York.''

According to the description of the restaurant, SONA is a ''Timeless India in the heart of NYC''. 

In another post, also revealed that her Netflix film, The White Tiger has earned a nod at the BAFTA Awards for the Best Adapted Screenplay.

She also congratulated her White Tiger co-star Adarsh Gourav for bagging a nomination in the Best Actor category of the prestigious award show.

''What a proud moment for Indian talent with 2 BAFTA nominations for an all-Indian star cast!'' she wrote. ''Ecstatic for you Adarsh Gourav, you are so deserving of this recognition, and congratulations #RaminBahrani, so well deserved.''

PeeCee added, ''I feel extremely proud to have been executive producer on this movie. Let's get it!''
