Adele hailed 'comedy legend' post 'SNL'. The singers hilarious kit on the show reminds fans why they love her.

Adele left her fans in fits with her SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE [SNL] hosting stint last weekend, and understandably, became the talk of the town.

The singer, 32, returned to the sketch show for the first time in 12 years, with her last appearance being her debut as a musical guest, according to the DailyMail.

Baffled by her many talents, viewers flooded Twitter with praise for the powerhouse. Many hailed Adele as their newest found 'comedy legend' and tipped her to win an Emmy for poking at her seven -stone weight loss. The singer opened the programme by saying she brought ''half of me.''

The Hello hit maker addressed her slimmed-down appearance. ''I know I look different than when you last saw me but because of the Covid restrictions, I had to travel light and bring only half with me so this is the half I chose,'' she said.

Social media users then reprised comments about her new look - which has reportedly been s result of following a 1,000 calorie a day diet and upping her exercise.

''Adele really said 'New body, who dis'?'' wrote one fan. Another expressed, ''SNL may be over but I will never stop talking about how much Adele served tonight. To be honest, I still can't accept this slim version of her.''

One more tweeted, ''I will take any opportunity to celebrate Adele. I just hope we reserve the same obsessive enthusiasm for her new musical as we do her weight loss.''

In one skit, the media personality played a contestant on The Bachelor breaking into a song and irritating the other contestants.

Meanwhile, in an another sketch, she transformed into a ghost and haunted a mansion while comedian  Pete Davidson followed her around.

Fans expressed their delight in seeing the usually low-key musician take a career risk as they tipped her to scoop an Emmy for her fun-filled hosting stint.

Adele - who has been nominated for both Daytime and Primetime Emmy for musical performances in 2016 - caused Twitter users to pen, ''She is coming for the Emmy for Best Actress in Comedy Series : Adele on SNL.''

There had been speculation that Adele's high-profile presenting role could mean she's on the verge of releasing new music. Her last album was the award-winning 25 in 2015. Thus the micro-blogging site exploded with cheeky posts requesting the singer to release some new material.

The show also included a sketch based on the last presidential debate with Maya Rudolph as moderator. Kristen Welker and Alec Baldwin and Jim Carrey playing a Donald Trump and Joe Biden, respectively.

Kate McKinnon appeared as Mr. Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, following the controversy over his appearance in the Borat sequel.
