DC FINDS ITS CATWOMAN


DC finds its Catwoman. Zoe Kravitz signs on to play the iconic Selina Kyle in 'The Batman'.

Actor Zoe Kravitz has landed the part of Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, in Matt Reeves; upcoming DC superhero project The Batman, reported Variety.

She will be starring opposite Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson in the film.

The 30-year old starlet, best known for Big Little Lies, Mad Max : Fury Road and the Fantastic Beasts series beat out the likes of Zazie Beetz, Eiza Gonzales and Alicia Vikander to bag the much coveted role.

Pattinson is top lining the cast as, with actor Jeffrey Wright set to portray his ally, Commissioner Gordon.

Before Kavitz, the anti-heroine and sometime love interest of the Caped Crusader has been portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns [1992], Halle Berry in Catwoman [2004] and Anne Hathway in The Dark Knight Rises [2012].

The Batman is being billed as a grounded take on popular DC character and will feature many of Batman's villains.

Reeves is directing the film from his own script. He is also attached to produce with Dylan Clark.

The Batman will hit the theatres on June 25, 2021.

Needless to say, we comic book fans across the world can hardly wait!
