LONDON  [April] : Prince Harry and Meghan's joint Instagram account sets record for fastest 1  million followers.

Way no attention to Hollywood stars or pop idols.

When it comes to Instagram, it seems no one can match the allure of a youthful royal couple.

Guinness World Records said one Wednesday ;last month that a new Instagram account by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle was the fastest ever to gain 1 million followers.

The account which was opened one Tuesday. reached the 1 million mark in under six hours, easily beating a record held by Korean pop sensation Kang Daniel.

It has grown to over 3.5 million.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, call their new account  ''sussexroyal.'' They say it will be used for important announcements.

Interest in the account had likely been spurred by the fact that, at the time, Markle was likely to give birth in the month ahead, - in late April or May. [Courtesy Zee News]
