Shanghai Tower's structure reaches maximum height

The world's second tallest skycraper, Asia's highest, reached a milestone today. The Shanghai Tower's base structure reached its highest point. Its designers say not only will the building become a beacon of China's economic growth. It'll also set a new top standard for environmental design.
From a frightening height, a huge steel beam was raised above Shanghai. Six workers lowered it in place, helping create a new icon, 580 metres above the ground, everything nearby, looks tiny.
Steve Zuo, Project Manager, Thornton Tomasetti, said, "We have set up a standard for Highrise towers for the Chinese. RAY: Raising the bar GUEST: Yes, we’re proud of that! "
