End of Watch (2012)

End of Watch is an upcoming action drama film written and directed by David Ayer, and produced by John Lesher. It has received highly positive reviews, currently scoring an 83% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 54 reviews. originally scheduled to be released on September 28, 2012, but the release was moved up a week, to September 21.

Synopsis: Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena play young Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala who patrol the city's meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. Giving the story a gripping, first-person immediacy, the action unfolds through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city's most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.
