Louisville students allege bullying at school

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Two lawsuits have been filed against Kentucky's largest public school district alleging that teachers and administrators did little or nothing to stop students from being bullied.

The suits, filed Tuesday in Jefferson County Circuit Court, make a total of eight brought against Jefferson County Public Schools in the last year. Attorney Teddy Gordon, who represents the families in all eight lawsuits, warned the school system on Tuesday to tackle the issue of bullying or "I am coming after you."

The latest lawsuits contain similar allegations against students and staff at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. In both cases, the students alleged that they were subjected to homophobic slurs and that the school did nothing to stop it.

A spokesman for the school system did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
