The truth is that most of the world is decapitated by what they deviously call 'rationalism' , helped greatly all the way trough by Master Darwin and Dr. Freud. Our everyday life's evil is always with us, loading us with guilt, all the time - but and there is just no instruction on what to do!

A lack of moral certainty about anything!! Nietzshe said that after 20th century there will be a period of total eclipse of all and every value! I am absoutely sure that is what's beginning to happen.It maybe a dour prediction, but provides an early tip of the iceberg.

It was President Nelson Mandela who had urged Bill Clinton to devote his energies to fighting AIDS in the developing world. President Mandela considers Bill Clinton as a political son, and it was he who had counseled Bill to refuse to reciprocate the hatred of his enemies. Mandela's embrace has affected Clinton deeply. Some 10 years ago, at an international conference in Barcelona, the South African urged him to devote his post-presidential energies to fighting HIV/AIDS. Specifically, he asked Clinton to do what Government had deemed wildly impractical : provide effective treatment for the millions of HIV infected poor in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, who had essentially been consigned to death because "saving them would cost too much".

At a minimum cost roughly $1600 per person, including diagnostic tests, the annual pharmacy bill alone would have come to $40 billion.

It seemed impossible to imagine how this could be done, and yet it was also impossible for Clinton to turn Mandela down. To conceive and run the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative, he bought in Ira Magziner, an old friend and management consultant, who was also a gifted strategist. Ira came up with a plan to reduce the costs of treatment by driving down the price of drugs and testing, while Clinton lobbied government leaders in Europe and Canada to fund his program. Political pressures had already reduced the price of some AIDS treatments in teh Third World by the time Clinton got involved.

Generic manufacturers were producing the antiretroviral drug combinations at lower costs, but the price still had to be reduced much farther to permit any real progress. Essentially, Clinton and Ira argued that if the companies cut prices enough, Western governements would appropriate funds to buy the drugs in volume.

They worked with the suppliers all the way down to production process to reduce real costs. Moreover, they promised to make sure that the money would be available, that there would be no kickbacks or blackmarket sales, and that the companies would be paid reliably and on time.
