HTC Users are reporting experiencing difficulty connecting to Wi-Fi networks and annoying lag when playing games. The issues, which can also negatively affect the handset's battery life, may relate to a flaw in manufacturing. Affected users reporting an improvement in signal when the One X is squeezed in a particular way.

If you want to check your handset for this problem, gently squeeze the side back of your phone, between the camera lens and the volume buttons. If  the Wi-Fi signal strength improves only to drop back down when you stop squeezing, then you have this seemingly common fault. Not only this, there are some handy tips available on the internet to fix the issue.

An HTC worker's post said

“I work for HTC (see my profile). If you're experiencing this, kindly please PM me so we can analyze it. Our engineering teams in Taiwan have looked into it and have been unable to replicate it or determine a root cause, so your help would be appreciated.”
