Colorado wildfire: Firefighters battle out-of-control blaze

American firefighters are battling an out-of-control Colorado blaze. Smoke has spread as far as central Nebraska, western Kansas and Texas, and hundreds have evacuated their homes. Officials have significantly increased counts of the number of structures destroyed or damaged to at least 118.

The fire was first reported on Saturday. This comes as authorities say they’re competing for resources that have been sapped by several wildfires across the West. The US Forest Service is contracting one air tanker from Alaska and four from Canada, with two more from California.
