There were both cheers and tears involved when Norwegian university student Hallvar Witzø was nominated for the world’s most famous award – the Oscar.
A very happy 27-year-old heard the great news Tuesday, and immediately jumped up on the table, cheering and crying at the same time. "I don’t know exactly what went through my head right then and there, but I just had to get it out," said Witzo
Next month he will travel to the U.S. to follow the Oscar ceremony next month, although he considers the competition to be quite tough. "The other films that have been nominated are very good, but we still have 1/5 chance, so of course I am hoping it goes well," Witzø says.
Hallvar Witzø is a graduate of the Norwegian Film School in Lillehammer.
