Tottenham Hotspurs is likely to hold talks to sign the talented 22-year-old Ganso who is now allowed to leave Santos if the offer matches their expectations. The deal would be worth more than £15 million.
Ganso’s agent, Teodoro Fonseca, arrived in London yesterday and and is expected to discuss the future of the player with Spurs.
Santos president Luis Oliveira recently announced that Ganso could go if "the offer matches our expectations" before adding that the club had yet to receive a bid. It’s understood that 55 per cent of Ganso’s contract rights are currently held by an investment group, DIS."
The Brazelian, who recently featured in the Fifa World Club Cup in Japan, have also been linked with Manchester United and both AC and Inter Milan.
Spurs are third in the table, just six points behind leaders Manchester City and with a game in hand and manager Harry Redknapp is keen to improve his squad for the second half of the campaign.
The deal with Ganso would be very significant for Spurs especially as Roman Pavlyuchenko is expected to leave this month.
