The Dictator - 2012

Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's forth film which combines aspects of ‘Borat’ and ‘Bruno’ into a seemingly more traditional narrative about a dictator “who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.” It is said to be inspired by the novel Zabibah and the King by the late Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

In the film Cohen will play the role of General Admiral Alladeen, a dictator from a country called Republic Of Wadiya, alongside Ben Kingsley, Megan Fox and Anna Faris. It is directed by Larry Charles, who was also the director of Cohen's mockumentaries Borat and Bruno.

The film is said to be released in May, 2012 distributed by Paramount Pictures.
