Students Protest Against Failure To Grant Dalai Lama A Visa

South Africa: Students and academics of the University of Witwatersrand marched to protest against the failure of the South African government in giving the Dalai Lama a visa. Former bishop Desmond Tutu termed the situation "worse than the apartheid". The Tibet-based spiritual leader was due on 7th October and was supposed to give lectures in two universities and to attend Tutu's 80th birthday celebrations.
