Students Capture Energy from forces of Nature

The U.S. Department of Energy has arranged a contest Solar Decathlon ( 2011) for college students to prove the feasibility and benefits of renewable energy. Solar Decathlon began in 2002. Being conducted every 2 years since 2005. This year, 20 teams including participants from China, Belgium, NZ and Canada are coming together.


Tennessee's students worked on echoing the cantilever barns of southern Appalachia. Even in warm summers the home will remain as cold as in the winters because the circulation of air thru the building is made such.
