Scientists have found a tiny tooth which they have established to be 41 million years old. The tooth belongs to the oldest RODENT FOSSIL found in South America. Scientists think that this is the ancestor of the modern guinea pig and porcupine that hitched a ride from AFRICA on a RAFT made of VEGETATION. AMAZING !!!
