Students and their parents protested against the Lahore College for Women University Lahore (LCWU). According to them they were misled by the administration regarding the eligibility criteria for the entrance test. Protesters said that university administration declared at the time of prospectus that students with 50% marks could appear in the entrance test but now on the test day they were told that only students with 75% marks were eligible to sit in the entrance test for the admission of BS Honors English Literature.
According to the university administration, they had mentioned both, in newspaper and in prospectus as well, that that the students with 50% marks are eligible only if they had studied English Literature at intermediate level and students with 75% marks or more are eligible for the entrance test even with out the said condition.
