Hispanic students withdraw as court rules in favour of immigration law

As the court ruled in favour of the law cracking down on illegal immigrants, a large number of Hispanic students withdrew from public schools all over Alabama to avoid trouble with the authorities.
Meanwhile, local and state officials are appealing to the parents to let their children remain enrolled. No one is going to arrest them for trying to get their kids an education, they say in an attempt to quell the rising apprehensions regarding the new law. Parents however, remain reluctant with many families seriously thinking of relocating to other states.
